A TOUCAN crossing will be constructed on one of Barry's main roads and could cause disruption.

The crossing patch will be located on Ffordd Y Mileniwm - one of the main roads that connects the town to the island.

The toucan crossing construction began on April 8 and will take 12 weeks to finish according to the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

There will be temporary traffic lights in place to manage the flow of the traffic.

The parking at upper Dock Offices will also be reduced.
