The Easter bunny will make special deliveries in the Vale of Glamorgan - and it's not just bringing chocolate!

Longtime Evri couriers, Alan and Alyson Hopkin, known for their heart-warming seasonal antics, are bringing joy once again this Easter.

Alan, in the guise of the Easter bunny, while Alyson drives, will make the deliveries.

The couple said: "This is the first year we've done this, we're going to head out on Good Friday and Saturday to deliver parcels with Alan dressed head to toe as the Easter Bunny.

"We wanted to do it last year but couldn't in the end, so we can't wait.

"We've even got a basket to put chocolate eggs in for the little ones."

Residents eagerly anticipate the Hopkins' holiday transformations.

One said: "We love them both and look forward to the holidays, seeing Alan, and his outfits.

"They make so many people smile – the kids love to see him on his round and I’m sure they will be looking forward to seeing the Easter Bunny."

Alan and Alyson simply enjoy spreading cheer.

They said: "It's just a bit of fun, but people look forward to seeing it and it's something different for us to look forward to as well.

"Of course, the children love it, but so do a lot of our older customers who don’t see many people, we often stop and have a quick chat with them on the doorstep, it really cheers them up and gives them some joy."

Alan added: "People trust us so much, just a couple of weeks ago someone asked to help rescue a parcel that was delivered incorrectly by another company that was needed for an anniversary."

The couple also do the same for Hallowe'en and Christmas.
