The mayor's spring market will take place in Barry this weekend.

On March 30, Councillor Ian Johnson, the mayor of Barry, will be hosting the event from 10am-2pm at the town's Cemetery Approach Community Centre.

The market will feature various arts and craft makers from the Barry and surrounding areas exhibiting their creative works.

Entry to the venue is free and attendees will have the chance to buy unique handcrafted items.

There will be Easter-themed activities facilitated by Barry Town Council and Tiny Toes.

Refreshments will also be available for purchase with income benefiting the mayor's selected charities.

Two organisations, namely 2Wish and Mind in the Vale, were chosen by Cllr Johnson.

2Wish offers bereavement support to families across Wales affected by the sudden and traumatic loss of a child or young adult aged 25 or under.

Mind in the Vale, an independent local mental health charity, offers awareness campaigns and information about mental health rights and choices.

For updates on this or any future events, the public is encouraged to visit Barry Town Council’s website and social media platforms.
