The Vale Food Trail will return in 2024, and businesses still have a chance to sign up.

The two-week, multi-location food festival, running from May 26 to June 4, invites businesses to host events and participate free of charge.

Festival organisers say the initiative provides increased visibility through festival marketing, reaching new customers within the Vale of Glamorgan and beyond.

Last year, more than 30 local businesses welcomed more than 500 visitors to events that included farm tours, cookery workshops, tasting events, exhibitions and live demos.

Businesses such as St Hilary Vineyard, Glyndwr Vineyard, Fingers & Tums street food and Barry Island Spirit Co have already committed to the 2024 festivities.

Louise Denham, sustainable food places co-ordinator at Food Vale said: "We are thrilled to be bringing the Vale Food Trail back this year - and really looking forward to seeing what kinds of events our local businesses and producers are keen to run this time around."

Applications to run an event are open until March 31, 2024.
