A MAN from Barry stole almost £4,000 from a Waitrose in England including toilet roll and electric toothbrush heads coming to a total value of £1,400.
We know Waitrose is pricey but you’re paying for quality, however Smith, of the town’s Harlech Gardens, must have had particularly expensive taste stealing 47 bottles of alcohol valued at over £2,500 - £53 a bottle.
The crimes were committed at a Waitrose store in Marlborough, Wiltshire, between October 2022 and October 2023.

Smith, 56, pleaded guilty to six charges of theft and one charge of criminal damage – damaging a Wiltshire Police custody blanket – on February 12 at Cardiff Magistrates Court.
He was sentenced on the same day receiving an eight-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months.
