SIX businesses in the Vale of Glamorgan have celebrated victory after winning awards and the Welsh Wedding awards this month.
The Welsh Wedding Awards are now in their sixth year of celebrating the best wedding businesses in Wales.
Businesses in Barry, Penarth and Dinas Powys have earned recognition at the Welsh National Wedding Awards after claiming seven awards at the black-tie ceremony on Wednesday, February 7 in Cardiff.
A spokesperson for the awards said: “It was another fantastic night as we celebrated the continued growth of the Welsh wedding industry.
"It was the most competitive year so far for finalists and everyone who attended was among the elite of the sector, continuing to go above and beyond for their clients.
Winners across the Vale of Glamorgan included Gwen Laugherne, a cake designer based in Penarth who won overall Cake Designer of the Year and Cake Designer of the Year for Southeast.
Lilypad Florist in Penarth won Florist of the Year Southeast and Overall Winner, while Shutter Hire Photography & Videography took the award for Outstanding Wedding Photographer of the Year.
Other Penarth businesses that won awards were Anne Morgan Jewellery for Jeweller of the Year ,while the highly commended award went to Northern Star Bespoke Jewellery LTD.
Meanwhile, Hair Design by Zoe in Barry won the award of Hair & Make-Up Specialist of the Year in the Southeast.
