The closure will be operated by Forrest Traffic Management on behalf of the BBC.

Businesses, residents, pedestrians, and crews at the Penarth Lifeboat station will still be able to access the area during the road closure.

The BBC has not revealed what the show they will be filming is, however, the pier has been redecorated to look like it's screening a Rock Hudson film.

Several shows have been filmed around Penarth before including Dr Who and Casualty.

On Tuesday, January 9, Casualty was caught filming in Penarth which had to be one of the most dramatic shoots we’ve stumbled on so far. The lights camera and action were rolling on Bradenham Place just off town clock roundabout.
